Rijeka

The track has a very nice layout, very twisty, medium fast, bends are nice to take, only one is a bit tricky and grip, grip, grip! In my opinion: you can ride in rainy conditions in Rijeka the same as you can in dry conditions on other tracks.

In the paddocks you'll find 2 container-restaurants where you'll find very good food with low prices. There is also a slightly better restaurant nearby, also with low prices, but it's not really worth leaving the paddock for that. Anyway, anybody who brings their own food should only do so for romantic nights in front of the tent. It doesn't make sense otherwise. The area in and around the racetrack is beautiful. If you want to extend your holidays there, Opatija is nearby. An insiders' tip is the nearby Istria peninsula. You also have other nearby opportunities along the whole coastline, but Istria is not as crowded as Krk, and at least as pretty. Between Porec, Pula and Premantura you'll find local plants right up to the seashore, and little seafood restaurants where you can easily afford a superb meal. It is no problem to find camp sites, boarding houses or hotels so everybody can choose what ever they like. Anyway, what more could you dream of - riding on the racetrack and a holiday by the sea combined?!

A long time ago this was a world championship racetrack, but time has stood still for a while. This means the paddocks are spacious but the sanitation facilities are not the nicest. But everybody who knows Rijeka will be astonished: the boxes, which were only a shell before are now finished. The boxes are really good and comfortable. Work is also continuing on the run-offs and gravel. Its moving forward in Grobnik!
